For the last two weeks, one of the big questions surrounding Greene County boys’ basketball had to do with when leading scorer Trey Hinote would return to the court following a severe ankle sprain Nov. 30. He told Raccoon Valley Radio he would be playing tonight. “It’s definitely not 100% yet, but we’re going to run with it Friday (tonight), so we’ll tape it up, put an ankle brace on it, and call it good!”

The Rams have lost three of four games without their sharp-shooting guard, a recent Letter of Intent signee with Dordt College in Sioux Center. Coach Chris Nelson’s team is 3-3 overall. Roland-Story (Story City) visits the middle school gym in Jefferson tonight for a girl/boy twin bill. The R-S boys are 3-2.

The R-S girls stand at 4-2 after losing their last two games. First year coach Tyler Westhoff’s Greene County girls are 0-6.

Coverage on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com begins at 5:45 p.m. with the girls’ game at 6 p.m. and the boys to follow.
