As Guthrie County 4-H members may already be preparing for the 2019 Guthrie County Fair, they are invited to spend winter break learning to improve on static projects with special workshops.

A Zentangle Workshop will take place December 27th at 1 p.m. at Art Exchange in Panora for those wanting to make those intricate works of art. An RC Car Workshop will also take place that day at 6 p.m. at Jet Outdoors in Carroll. Participants will get to race their car on an indoor track and learn about different modifications that can be made to your car. A Photography Workshop will be held on December 28th at 1 p.m. at Ketelsen Photography in Panora. Beginner photographers are encouraged to attend and bring a photo that they’d like to show at the fair. Mike Ketelsen will judge them and participants will also have time to take photos. Cost is $10 for the Zentangle Workshop and the other two workshops are free. To register, email Guthrie County Extension Youth Coordinator Mollie Clark at clarkm@iastate.edu.
