Despite sitting winless entering league competition tonight, the defensive output of the West Central Valley Wildcats boys basketball team has improved recently. The Wildcats began the season averaging 113.5 points allowed in losses to Ogden (114-35) and Ankeny Christian Academy (113-29). The last two games saw West Central Valley give up an average of 72 points per contest in setbacks against Woodward-Granger (76-53) and Pleasantville (68-27). Both Wildcat varsity basketball teams resume West Central Activities Conference play tonight in Stuart against the Madrid Tigers.
