While you’re grocery shopping for family get togethers this holiday season, Raccoon Valley Radio reminds you to give to those less fortunate during our annual Caring Christmas Food Drive.

The Lil’ Big Red Radio will broadcast live at the Adel Fareway from 3-5 p.m. today, sponsored by Adel & Winterset TV & Appliance. There you can drop off a monetary or food donation that will go directly to that community’s local food pantry. You can also enter to win our $1,000 Christmas Cash Giveaway.

Raccoon Valley Radio General Manager John McGee shares how it takes several different entities to make this annual drive happen, “The Caring Christmas Food Drive is something where we partner really a win-win-win situation. We partner with area businesses that help make this possible, we partner with our area grocery stores to help raise food to help our area food shelves, and then ultimately we partner with you our listeners out there to make donations to help those in need this holiday season.”

Tomorrow, the Big Red Radio will broadcast live from the Adel Fareway from noon-2 p.m. and from 3-5 p.m. at the Guthrie Center Hometown Foods. Saturday, the Lil’ Big Red Radio and the Big Red Radio will both be broadcasting live from 10 a.m.-noon from the Winterset Hy-Vee and the Perry Hy-Vee sponsored by Raccoon Valley Bank, respectively.
