Wednesday, December 12th

12:26am: A deputy investigated a vehicle in the ditch on 140th Street near D Avenue. There was no damage to the vehicle and no driver in the area.

1:58am: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with an arrest in the 300 block of North Oak Street, Jefferson.

7:59am: The Sheriff and a deputy investigated a propane Tanker Truck that had a power line down on the truck. Scranton Fire and Greene County Ems also responded to the scene in the 700 block of D Avenue. Justin Venteicher 37 of Jefferson was backing and struck a utility pole breaking it off and causing the wire to land on the truck. There was no damage to the truck and nobody was injured.

8:00am: A deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on 237th Street near Jordan Avenue. A juvenile lost control of his 2006 Mazda 6 and struck the guard rail causing around 3,000 dollars damage to the car. The guard rail was not damaged.

9:13am: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 1100 block of Eaton Avenue.

4:05pm: A deputy investigated a theft in the 1000 block of Cedar Street, Scranton.

4:21pm: A deputy removed debris from the roadway on I Avenue near Churdan.

4:37pm: The Sheriff, deputies, and Greene County EMS responded to a single vehicle accident on Quest Avenue and 305th Street. Larry Richards 81 of Jamaica failed to stop at the stop sign and went into the ditch at the T intersection. Larry was transported to the Dallas County Hospital. The 2015 Chevrolet Malibu was totaled in the accident. Larry was issued a citation for failure to stop.

4:45pm: A deputy investigated a trespass complaint in the 900 block of 190th Street.

4:45pm: A deputy investigated a car in the ditch on 235th Street near G Avenue. When the deputy arrived, the car was gone.

6:42pm: A deputy investigated a theft in the 100 block of 3rd Street, Rippey.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
