Senior grapplers at Adel-Desoto-Minburn Community Schools take center stage tonight in Tigers first home dual of the season. ADM’s wrestling team is hosting the Winterset Huskies and the Carlisle Wildcats in a Raccoon River Conference triangular. The Tigers enter the week winning six of their first eight dual matches. ADM head wrestling coach Chris Hatchitt is expecting a good night of competition this evening. “(Carlisle and Winterset) are two quality teams (to matchup against),” Hatchitt said, “That’ll be senior night for us, and an opportunity to really shine (on the mat).”
Senior wrestlers, cheerleaders and their parents will be recognized during a ceremony inbetween duals. Carlisle enters tonight’s league triangular with an 8-2 overall record, and Winterset posts a 2-2 mark in dual action. The Wildcats have two wrestlers rated in the Predicament’s Class 2A rankings, including seniors Carter Logue (No. 4 126) and Ethan Reed (No. 10 182). The Huskies bring five ranked wrestlers to Adel with them this evening including senior Trey Allen (No. 8 106), junior Bryce Hatten (No. 10 120), junior Kruise Kiburz (No. 5 132), junior Jack West (No. 4 145), and junior Bradley Tolley (No. 7 285). ADM’s ranked wrestlers include senior Andrew Flora (No. 1 126), senior Nolan Harsh (No. 6 182), and junior Kaden Sutton (No. 6 220). First matches of tonight’s Raccoon River Conference triangular between ADM, Carlisle, and Winterset starts around 5:30 p.m. from ADM’s North Gym.
