Greene County Extension is hosting a series of events called “Ag Coffees” starting later this week.
Extension Director Lori Mannel says the first ag coffee will be held this Friday at 9:30am at the Extension office. It will be on the Farm Bill and the discussion will be led by Extension Farm Management Specialist Tim Christensen.
“Anybody can come to these ag coffees. They are free. I get a lot of financial professionals. Anyone that wants to learn more information about that topic or just wants to visit one-on-one with an ag specialist through Iowa State University.”
Mannel adds that the monthly ag coffees will extend into January through March. December’s Ag Coffee is sponsored by Iowa Corn of Greene County and Greene County Farm Bureau. No pre-registrations are necessary. To hear more about this and other Extension topics, listen to today’s Community State Bank in Paton Let’s Talk Greene County program.
