Back to back victories in Stuart have the West Central Valley Wildcats girls basketball team’s (2-2 overall) record back at .500. The Wildcats evened their overall record Monday night in a 60-46 triumph over West Central Activities Conference newcomer Interstate 35. West Central Valley recorded 19 assists on 25 made baskets. Junior Jenna Merical led the Wildcats with 20 points scored. Junior Sydney Neal posted a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Senior Joelle Grubbs flirted with a quadruple-double, registering eight points, eight rebounds, 10 assists, and seven steals. The win was the second straight for West Central Valley who tallied their first win last Saturday over Ankeny Christian Academy, 59-24, in Stuart. Tonight the Wildcats visit Dallas County for a league matchup with the Woodward-Granger Lady Hawks. Tip off is set for 6 p.m. at Woodward-Granger High School.
