ACGC and Bedford-Lenox wrestle under a giant spotlight at the ACGC home duals Thursday night.

The ACGC wrestling team is still perfect in the dual portion of their schedule after defeating Bedford-Lenox and Coon Rapids-Bayard in Guthrie Center Thursday evening.

Following the Bedford-Lenox/CRB dual, ACGC began their night against Bedford Lenox. The match started with three consecutive forfeits by the gold and black. The Chargers then took six of the next seven matches by pin or technical fall. ACGC tallied three more open victories to take the match 53-30.

In the evening finale the Chargers defeated the Crusaders 42-22 to improve to 5-0. Individuals who won both contested matches include: Seth Danker (113), Blaine Beeler (120), Easton Benson (138), and Gabe Rowley (145). Only one Charger wrestler failed to get at least one win by forfeit, or fall.

The Chargers competed on their home course under a giant spotlight. The spotlight, shared with Riverside-Oakland, was lit up both times the home squad took the mats, adding to the electrifying atmosphere in the high school gymnasium. The Chargers will look to channel that excitement as they head to Riverside for their invitational tomorrow.
