Harvey's Ribbon Cutting 1

Tuesday afternoon, the lobby of Hotel Pattee in Perry was filled with people ready to officially welcome the new restaurant occupying the historic hotel, as the Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting for Harvey’s at Hotel Pattee.

Executive Director of Culinary Services for the hotel, and originator of the restaurant, Katie Harvey said she was overwhelmed by the support shown by the community not just for the ribbon cutting, but also since they officially opened for business last week. “Well, I was in tears, so I think that it was lovely! And I’m so flattered that the Chamber would do this, and that the community again flooded in for something like this. It’s just the nicest! You just feel the love of this town, it’s just extraordinary.”

Harvey herself did the honors of cutting the ceremonial ribbon with the giant Chamber scissors, flanked by Hotel Pattee Owner Tom Maxwell and General Manager Aaron Lenz. Attendees were then treated to an assortment of appetizers and dessert samples, and many then stepped into the restaurant for dinner. This is the first of two Chamber ribbon cuttings this week, as the scissors will next make an appearance on Friday at 11 a.m. at Harper Rose’s Floral and Gifts.
