As we gear up for next year, several individuals will need re-certification to apply pesticide privately for 2019.
Greene County Extension is offering the first private pesticide applicator training course for 2019 this Thursday at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson. Extension Director Lori Mannel says the class will begin promptly at 1:30pm and she suggests those that need the re-certification or need to be certified to be there by 1pm to be admitted. She reminds those who are going to attend to bring a certain piece of information with them to register.
“You received a mailing from the Greene County Extension office and on that brochure will have your private pesticide application certification number. If you could bring that, that would make the (registration) process go much quicker.”
Cost for the course is $20 and ISU Extension Field Agronomist Mike Witt will be the instructor. Anyone with questions can contact the Extension office in Jefferson at 386-2138.
