Trinity Lutheran Church is hosting the final Community Conversations event of 2018 this Thursday.
The topic of the event will be on Greene County non-profits and how people can donate to them. Organizers say over 20 local non-profits will be on-hand to share how anyone can donate to their cause and how those donations are used to help others and the community. Some of the organizations that will be there include: Greene County Action Resource Center (ARC), Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity, Greene County 4-H, Greene County Fair, Jefferson VFW, Salvation Army, Greene County and Paton-Churdan School Districts, congregate meals, Christmas meals, Toys for Tots, Genesis Development, Jefferson Fire and Police department, Good Samaritan Fund, Lots of Socks, weekend meals and others. Plus other non-profits are also invited to share what they do.
Refreshments will be served at 5pm, with the discussion to begin at 5:30. It is free and open to the public.
