Friday, November 30th

8:26am: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 200 Block of North Cedar Street for, “Dark Windows.”

6:04pm: Marlene Floyd reported Harassment on Facebook by a Jefferson male. She was advised to block him.

7:28pm: An officer checked on several 911 Calls from the 400 Block of Greenewood Road. The officer learned the caller had moved to another address in Jefferson. The officer shared the information with the Gardens, who checked and found the female to be fine.

11:03pm: A Traffic Stop was performed at Elm and Lincoln Way Streets resulting in Kory Luetkman of Boone being cited for, “Driving While Suspended and Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”

Saturday, December 1st

12:57am: An officer performed a Traffic Stop with a vehicle that did not have plates displayed in the 300 Block of West Central Ave. During the stop, the officer was given “Consent” to search the vehicle by the owner. The officer located a suspected meth pipe in the door pocket and seized it for testing. Charges are pending test results on the pipe.

1:11am: Neighbors called and advised of a running vehicle parked in a garage at 705 South Oak Street. Officers arrived and received no response at the door. Officers entered the residence to do a Welfare Check and located the vehicle’s owner in bed asleep. She advised the vehicle was running to charge the battery and she forgot about it and went to bed. All was fine.

10:05am: Barry Steadman reported a neighbor was still parking on his property at 405 South Chestnut Street after being asked not to. The officer spoke to the neighbor again, who advised it would be moved.

1:17pm: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 900 Block of West Mahlon Street resulting in Jan Black of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid Drivers License.”

5:10pm: A caller advised his female friend was at 777 Wild Rose Lane gambling. He advised she is intoxicated and will not give up her keys. The officer watched for the vehicle to leave during the evening, but it remained at the casino.

6:43pm: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 500 Block of North Elm Street resulting in Sharon Fisher of Dana being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

7:21pm: During a Traffic Stop with a speeding motorist in the 300 Block of West Clark Street, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. During a “Probable Cause Search” the officer located three smoking devices in the vehicle. The items were seized for testing. Randy Lundberg of Jefferson was issued a Citation for, “Excessive Speed 57 in a 40-mph zone.” Future charges are pending against Lundberg after testing is conducted on the seized items.

Sunday, December 2nd

12:25am: An officer checked on a motorist that had slid and wrecked his moped at Maple and Adams Streets. The male subject was uninjured and continued on his way.

2:23am: While on patrol an officer spotted two male juveniles near Chestnut and Monroe Streets. He learned the two juvenile brothers had snuck out of their residence and went to friend’s house. The father was contacted and Ethan and Jordan Sloan were issued Citations for, “Curfew Violation.”

9:06am: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 100 Block of North Maple Street for, “Parking Between Lot Line and Curb Line.”

9:50am: Bill Hammel reported his vehicle had been struck while parked in the 100 Block of West State Street. The 2015 Ford F350 had damage to an outside mirror. The officer is investigating.

******* Officers issued 24 “Snow Emergency Parking Violation” citations during the recent snow event.
