The Perry Fine Arts Group will be hosting their next free concert Sunday afternoon, and they’re bringing back some performers who were here not too long ago.

The Greater Des Moines Community Band will be performing a Christmas concert at 2 p.m. in the Perry High School Performing Arts Center. Fine Arts Committee member Cathy Clark says everyone is hopeful for some good weather Sunday, so they don’t have a repeat of the band’s previous event in Perry. “We don’t usually have two performances of the same group this close together. But we scheduled them last April and it was a nasty snowstorm day! (In) the community band, there’s over 60 volunteer musicians that play, and they love music. And so I’m really looking forward to that Christmas concert.”

The concert is free to attend, though free-will donations are accepted. Any proceeds will go towards funding future Fine Arts concerts. Clark also reminds people the PAC is handicap accessible, so everyone will be able to enjoy the music.
