There are many opportunities this week to give towards those less fortunate in your community during the Raccoon Valley Radio Caring Christmas Food Drive.
Today, the Big Red Radio will be broadcasting live from 4-6 p.m. at Hometown Foods in Stuart where residents can give monetary and food donations that will go towards the Stuart Cottage Pantry. Shirley Jones with the Stuart Cottage Pantry shares what donated items they desire most, “The many things that we go through is like au gratin potatoes, and we go through a lot of tuna, we have chicken noodle soup, cream of chicken, mushroom soup, and jello and pudding and crackers and ramen noodles. Those are the things that families seem to need.”
The Lil’ Big Red Radio will also be broadcasting live today from the Adel Family Fun Center from 5:40-7:40 p.m. Next, the Big Red Radio will be at Paton-Churdan Schools tomorrow from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and at the Jefferson Fareway from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., sponsored by Motor Inn of Carroll.
On Wednesday, the Lil’ Big Red Radio will be at the Perry Fareway from 4-6 p.m., sponsored by the Dallas County Hospital; and Thursday will be at the Adel Fareway from 3-5 p.m., sponsored by Adel & Winterset TV & Appliance. On Friday, the Big Red Red Radio will be at the Adel Fareway from noon-2 p.m. and then at the Guthrie Center Hometown Foods from 3-5 p.m. Wrapping up the week on Saturday, the Lil’ Big Red Radio will be at the Winterset Hy-Vee from 10 a.m.-noon and the Big Red Radio will be at the Perry Hy-Vee from 10 a.m.-noon, sponsored by Raccoon Valley Bank.
