The annual Jingle Into Junction is happening this weekend in Grand Junction.
The fundraiser will take place at the community center from 5 to 7pm on Sunday. A free-will donation soup supper will kick-off the festivities. The menu includes chili, potato and chicken noodle soups, with a sandwich, bar and a drink. Meal deliveries are also available to Grand Junction residents only. Those interested must call City Hall at 515-738-2585 by tomorrow. Deliveries will be made at 4:45pm on Sunday.
There will also be a Mrs. Claus bake sale and quilt raffle, and Santa will be on-hand with cookies and cocoa. Other activities include a turkey drawing, a display and silent auction of trees, wreaths and stockings that will end at 6:30pm, along with the Greene County Carolers performing at 6.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward Grand Junction’s 150th anniversary celebration that’s slated for next year. The event is sponsored by the Grand Junction Library, Diane Wise, Grand Junction Fire and Rescue, Grand Junction Horizons Club and the Garden Club.
