Pizza Hut Ribbon Cutting 1

The Perry Chamber of Commerce hosted a ceremonial ribbon cutting Tuesday morning to welcome Pizza Hut back into the fold.

The restaurant has been a Chamber member in the past, but until recently was on the outside. Pizza Hut’s rejoining of the Perry Chamber coincided nicely with the chain’s 45th anniversary celebration, so they felt the ribbon cutting was an appropriate kick-off for two days of special pricing that harkens back to the 1970’s. For yesterday’s event, the festivities got started with Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti introducing Store Manager Josh Biondi who talked about the business’s background in Perry. He also introduced the other Pizza Hut staff in attendance, which included some managers from neighboring cities.

After answering some questions, Biondi and the rest of the attendees gathered outside to cut the ceremonial ribbon with the giant Chamber scissors. The event was the first of two Perry Chamber ribbon cuttings in a week with another being held next Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. That event will be to welcome Harvey’s at Hotel Pattee, which is the new restaurant inside the historic hotel.
