Tuesday, November 27th

1:41pm: Tammy Binkley reported a possible Theft of Services at 805 North Wilson Ave. She had located trash in her dumpster and went through it. Binkley located an Iowa DL for a Jefferson male in the trash and believed he had put all the garbage in the dumpster. The officer spoke to the male and learned he had thrown the old DL in the garbage while cleaning out his vehicle at Binkley’s car wash. The garbage was determined to have been placed in the dumpster by the owner from the car wash, with the DL in it.

3:51pm: Shelter Store All reported two storage units with missing padlocks at 408 Hwy. 30 East. The owners are being contacted to determine if anything is missing and an investigation needs to take place.

4:29pm: Harrison RV requested officers at 1200 North Elm for an irate customer refusing to leave the business after being asked to go. The officer made contact with the subject, who eventually left. The business called back and advised of threatening phone calls now coming from the customer. They requested the subject be advised he was Trespassed from the business and to end all contact with employees. The officer contacted the male and advised him of the request and advised he would be criminally charged if the behavior continued.

8:10pm: The A&W reported a female came through the Drive Thru and attempted to pay with a $50.00 Bill. The clerk was suspicious of the bill and checked it with a marking pen. The bill failed and was determined to be counterfeit. The business was trying to stall the subjects, who left without their food order. A registration plate was provided to the officer. The registered owner is out of Ft. Dodge. The investigation continues.

11:13pm: A caller advised of a female walking in the 1400 Block of North Elm Street with two males following her. He felt she may be in trouble. The officer made contact with the walking female, who advised she was fine and the two males were friends. They had gone a different direction before the officer arrived in the area.
