This Saturday is the Jefferson Garden Club’s “Christmas Magic: Holiday Tour of Homes.”
This year’s event features four homes in Jefferson. On the tour is the home of Jim and Jacque Andrew. A highlight of the 1949 home is a newly installed kitchen and master suite. There are also holiday decorations in honor of the Andrew family’s Scottish heritage. Another feature is a Christmas Caroler ensemble display. A remodeled home on the tour is with Janet Sabus. Her ranch-style home features a front entryway garden area. Her home is decorated with family heirlooms, including a piece of furniture in her office that belonged to her grandfather.
Another home on the tour belongs to Jim and Ann Ober. Their home features an outdoor living space that overlooks a wooded ravine. There are several antiques throughout the home that mix in with modern furnishings. The other home is a recent newly built home owned by Diana and Justin Towers. Their home overlooks a small lake. Each of their three children has their own decorated Christmas tree in their respective bedrooms, and organic elements are carried throughout the interior of the home.
The Tour of Homes will take place this Saturday from noon to 4pm. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased from any Garden Club member, or at Home State Bank, Peoples Bank and The Printer’s Box. Tickets will also be available on Saturday in the Greene County Courthouse rotunda, where refreshments will be served.
