Backwards Boutique

Backwards Boutique in Perry held a soft opening this past weekend during Art on the Prairie, but tomorrow they will hold their official grand opening with the help of the Perry Chamber of Commerce.

At 11:30 a.m. tomorrow, the Chamber will host a ceremonial ribbon cutting, to officially welcome the business to town. Owner Emily Leslie says they’ve already had quite a bit of business, particularly from visitors for Art on the Prairie, but she’s excited to invite the local community to see what she has in stock. “So we just want people to come in, say hi, introduce themselves. We’ve lived in the community of Perry for four years, so we don’t know everybody yet! So it’d be a great way for them to come meet us, and for us to meet them as well.”

In addition to the grand opening and ribbon cutting, Leslie says they’ll be having a promotion all day Friday. Customers will receive an entry for every $25 spent at the store, and on Saturday they’ll hold a drawing for a $50 gift card. Leslie adds, right now Backwards Boutique features a wide range of women’s clothing, but before the winter is over they will also offer tuxedo rentals for men. The store is located at the corner of 2nd and Warford streets in downtown Perry. To learn more, click the link below to listen to the Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program with Leslie.
