The Jefferson Police Department is investigating a one vehicle crash that resulted in an injury Monday afternoon.
Police Chief Mark Clouse says just before 5pm an officer responded to the one vehicle rollover wreck on the gravel road of East Russell Street. A 15-year-old was traveling east, when for an unknown reason, the 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt she was driving left the roadway and flipped several times. Clouse notes that the female minor was wearing her seat belt at the time of the incident and was taken to Greene County Medical Center by Greene County Emergency Medical Services with minor injuries. The Cobalt was estimated to be a total loss.
Clouse points out the cause of the crash remains under investigation. The Greene County Sheriff’s office assisted at the scene. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
