Veterans Day will be observed this Monday, which will cause several closures around Dallas County.

All Perry City Offices, the Perry Water Works, the Perry Public Library, and the McCreary Community Building will be closed Monday in observance of the holiday. There will also be no garbage pickup Monday, so residents who normally have their pick up that day will instead be taken care of on Tuesday. Those scheduled for Tuesday will have their days pushed to Wednesday. Similarly, in Adel the City Hall, public library, and all other city offices will be closed for Veterans Day. The garbage, recycling, and yard waste schedules, however, will not be altered because of the holiday.

Additionally, all Dallas County offices, including the courthouse, drivers license station, and Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed all day Monday. Finally, all banking institutions and post offices throughout the County will be closed for Veterans Day.
