A new season of Iowa High School boys basketball begins Monday with the opening of preseason practice statewide. It also begins the coaching tenure of Nick Peasley at Panorama Community Schools. Peasley, a Panorama assistant coach last season and the former head coach of West Central Valley boys basketball, was approved in May as the Panthers next varsity boys basketball coach. Peasley takes over the program from former varsity boys basketball coach Brad Halterman. Halterman resigned from his post shortly after the conclusion of last season after five years leading the program. The Panorama Panthers boys basketball team closed last season with a 6-16 overall record. Panorama’s 2018-19 competition season opens Friday, November 30, hosting Woodward-Granger in a West Central Activities Conference contest.
