Agencies are still searching for an airplane that crashed near Guthrie County Friday evening.
According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, at about 6:06 p.m. dispatch received a distress call from a plane. Crews have been searching the area since then, and no other details on the aircraft or passengers have been released. Agencies assisting in the search include Guthrie, Adair, and Carroll County Sheriff’s deputies, Iowa State Patrol, Panora and Stuart Police Departments, Guthrie Center Fire Department, Panora Fire and EMS, Redfield Fire and EMS, Dexter Rescue, Adel Fire and Rescue, and Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management.
