rotaryToday is the final day to purchase tickets to the 20th Annual Auction and Dinner fundraiser for the Jefferson Rotary Club.

This Friday’s event includes a prime rib or chicken buffet dinner, plus games and as many as 70 silent auction items and about 50 live auction items to bid on. Auction Chair Joel Williams says there’s several cash raffle games of $250 each, a half a hog raffle, plus heads-or-tails, all before the live auction begins. He points out that they raised about $45,000 last year and their goal is $50,000 this year, with most of the proceeds staying within the Jefferson community.

Williams talks about his favorite parts of the event. “We get to socialize with a lot of different people that you might not normally see or might not normally spend an evening with. And then the excitement of the (live) auction. David Whitaker is our auctioneer. He does an extremely good job of getting the crowd fired up. And then the games are always a good time.”

The fundraiser takes place at the Greene Room events center at Wild Rose in Jefferson. It beings with a social time at 5:30pm. The meal will be served at 6:30, with the auction to follow. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased from any Rotarian or by clicking the link below.
