perry chamber

This time of year is normally busy for the Perry Chamber of Commerce, but this year is even busier due to the ever-growing list of new businesses opening up in the City.

To celebrate each of them, the Chamber will be hosting a series of ribbon cuttings, three of which are this week. The first is on Thursday at 1 p.m., which will be celebrating the recent grand opening of Salvaged Soul, which is located on 2nd Street in downtown Perry. The following day there will be two more, starting at 8 a.m. with the combination Chamber Coffee and ribbon-cutting for the rebranding of EveryStep Hospice. The event coincides with an all-day open house for the organization at their offices in Dallas County Hospital.

After that, there will be a ribbon-cutting event at 1 p.m. to welcome the Perry Barber Shop, located between 2nd and 3rd streets along Willis Avenue. One week later, there will be another ribbon cutting, this time at 1:30 p.m. to welcome Backwards Boutique, which is located at the corner of 2nd and Warford streets. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the events are great examples of the recent growth of Perry’s downtown and beyond. “A lot going on, a lot of new businesses. We’ve watched the progress happen as we’ve peeked through the windows. So we’re really excited to have those open and ready for the holidays. It’s just really exciting to have so much activity going on and being able to welcome these businesses to Perry.”

Each ribbon cutting is free to attend, and there will be refreshments provided. The public and Chamber members alike are encouraged to attend and welcome the new businesses.
