Don’t forget, today is the final day of Daylight Saving Time for the year, so tomorrow we will return to Central Standard Time.

Remember to turn your clocks back an hour tonight or tomorrow morning. As another reminder, Perry Fire Chief Chris Hinds recommends changing the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors this weekend. In order ensure your warning devices always have a fresh charge, he advises you change the batteries twice a year, and the beginning and end of Daylight Saving Time makes for logical reference dates to do so. Daylight Saving Time runs every year, from the first Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November.
