acgcYesterday we featured the record shattering performances for kills and aces by freshman Chloe Largent for the ACGC volleyball team. Today we look at the record breaking performances for blocks, digs, and assists.

Sophomore Audrey Stowe had a breakout season setting up points for her teammates. She totalled an astounding 723 assists, 422 more than Mady Smith’s 301 in 2016. Senior Savana Fuller, who was one of the best blockers in both the West Central Activities Conference and Class 2A this season, more than doubled the school record with 107 total blocks. Her 51 solo blocks match the previous record for total blocks, set by classmate Jadeyn Carrick last year. Carrick had 69 total blocks this season for second best on the team.

In terms of digs, junior Olivia Laabs increased her top mark in school history by nine with 290. Senior Genevieve Hoover was second with 257 while Largent was the other Charger to eclipse the 200 mark with 218. The Chargers finished the season at 21-10 for the second straight year and fell in the regional semifinals in back-to-back seasons.
