One benefit new Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity girls basketball coach Jacob Cleveland does have entering his first season with the program are athletes with varsity playing experience. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network observed the October 9th open gym conducted by Cleveland and saw multiple familiar faces practicing from last year’s 9-14 squad. Among them where the Tigers top three leading scorers in senior Emma Jacobsen, junior Delaney Bertman, and junior Abbie Hlas. The trio accounted for 71% of ADM’s scoring output last season with Hlas and Bertman producing more than 200 points. Sophomore AJ Smith was also in attendance at the open gym after providing 45 points off the bench last winter. The roster will become more official Monday with the opening of girls basketball practice all across Iowa. The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity girls basketball team opens the 2018-19 season on Monday, November 19, hosting the Norwalk Warriors in a nonconference contest.
