Local art, wine tasting, and holiday gifts can all be found in Guthrie Center this November during a special series from the Guthrie County Arts Council.

The inaugural Holiday Artist Showcase Series will take place every Saturday this month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Art on State. Debbie Menning with the Guthrie County Arts Council shares more about the series, “It’s probably one of the most ambitious and comprehensive events that we’ve ever had right here at Art on State in Guthrie Center, so we’re looking forward to all the events. Every Saturday we have featured artists, wine tasting and refreshments, and also a membership drive where if someone comes in and pays their 2019 membership dues they’ll receive 20% off all of their purchases.”

This Saturday’s three featured artists are Mark Pearson of BackRoads Photography in Malvern, Guthrie Center artist and author Lela Schwartz, and Panora painter Shirley Konz who will be doing a fluid acrylic painting demonstration. Through a partnership with the Cabbage Rose restaurant, those who have lunch there this Saturday can receive a free dessert at Art on State.
The Holiday Artist Showcase Series is free and open to the public.
