At this point, most people know that Harvey’s Diner and Pub will be moving from its location in Redfield to the Hotel Pattee in Perry. What they may not know is what they can expect from Harvey’s at Hotel Pattee once it opens its doors.
Harvey’s Owner Katie Harvey says people who are familiar with her establishment can continue to enjoy what she calls “upscale comfort food.” She emphasizes it will all still be made from scratch from local sources, as she feels it’s important to maintain that level of service. She says her food isn’t fancy, but it’s still elevated and delicious, and she believes it will leave people craving it long after they’ve left the restaurant. The new menu will also extend to the catering aspect of the hotel, and Harvey says she’s excited to take that on.
“Special events and rehearsal dinners and weddings, that is my passion project. That is what I love, because not everybody does an event. It’s confusing, it’s stressful, it’s expensive, it’s crazy! And if you can have somebody there to take that down a little bit, and assure you of the experience and be there for you through the end with the rest of this incredible staff who wants nothing but for you to enjoy your time. So we’re going to hit it hard. Catering is going to be vital. Inside or outside, in the community, within this hotel, it will be a vital part of our plan.”
Harvey’s at Hotel Pattee will officially open with its new menu on Sunday, November 25th. To learn more, listen to the two-part Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program on air today and tomorrow, as well as at RaccoonValleyRadio.com.
