In case you forgot, tonight is the annual downtown Spooktacular event in Perry, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.
The festivities will cause 2nd Street to be closed between Willis Avenue and Pattee Street, as well as a portion of Lucinda Street, where First Christian Church will be holding their “Trunk or Treat” event. Spoooktacular will run from 4-6 p.m. and the entire community is invited to attend. There will be an assortment of businesses in attendance, many in front of their own building though there will also be some there who don’t have a downtown location, and each will be giving out candy for the kids and information for the adults.
Additionally, the Raccoon Valley Radio Big Red Radio will be at Spooktacular to play some Halloween music and provide public address services. As another reminder, Perry’s citywide trick-or-treating will happen following the downtown event, running from 6-8 p.m. Listen tomorrow for a recap of Spooktacular, including pictures.
