A short time ago, West Central Valley graduate Bailee Arnburg was a four-sport athlete for the Wildcats. Arnburg was a member of West Central Valley’s varsity volleyball, basketball, track and field, and softball squads upon graduation in May 2015. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network recently taped an interview with Arnburg, entering her senior season on this year’s Grand View Lady Vikings women’s basketball team. Arnburg shares how being a multisport athlete helped her in the college recruiting process. “I think it taught me a lot about time management,” Arnburg said, “I was always busy in high school. Even when we were playing volleyball, I was practicing for basketball; when we were playing softball, I was playing basketball. Each sport teaches you a different lesson, so you learn a lot playing all four sports.”
Arnburg is coming off her best season as a collegiate athlete, starting all 34 games last winter for the Lady Vikings. She averaged 10.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game as a junior, helping Grand View to a 23-11 overall record.
