With all the Halloween festivities this weekend and over the next couple days, don’t forget that those who don’t have frequently-travelled residences can still be involved in trick-or-treating festivities.

There are three upcoming “Trunk-or-Treat” events in Dallas County, the first of which is happening tomorrow in Adel. Faith Lutheran Church will be hosting the event from 5-6:30 p.m. in their parking lot, and kids are invited to stop by in their costumes and do some trick-or-treating. The next event will be on Tuesday in Perry at the First Christian Church on Lucinda Street. They will be holding the “Trunk-or-Treat” during the downtown Spooktacular event from 4-6 p.m., and the section of Lucinda from 2nd to 3rd Street will be closed to accommodate them.

Finally, Minburn will have a “Trunk-or-Treat” of their own on Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Baker Street. Any residents in or around each of the cities is invited to bring their vehicles to the locations and open their trunk as if it were their front door. Decorating your vehicle and trunk are highly encouraged. Kids will then come and go car-to-car, the same as if they were going door-to-door. For more information on any of the events, reach out to the individual churches or the City of Minburn.
