petsPet owners are encouraged to get their dogs and cats updated on their vaccinations this Saturday in Scranton.

The Animal Protection and Education (APE) Agency is offering a low cost vaccine clinic from 9am to 3pm at City Hall. Linn Price with APE says they will have a mobile clinic on hand with volunteers to administer vaccines. Greene County residents can pay $30 to have a well pet exam, along with distemper and rabies vaccines, and getting your pet microchip ID’d. Non-county residents must pay $35 for cats and $45 for dogs.

Cats and dogs must be over 12-weeks-old to receive a rabies shot. Pet owners must bring proof of prior vaccinations to receive a multi-year rabies shot. Microchipping is mandatory with all procedures. Appointments are appreciated by going online to goape.info.
