Next week the City of Jefferson will be alive with all kinds of family-friendly entertainment with the annual “Trick-or-Treat Around the Square” event.

It will be held on Thursday, October 25th and the festivities begin at the Greene County Community Center. From 4 to 5pm, kids two-years-old through fifth grade can enjoy games like pumpkin bowling and face painting, plus kids can get free candy and other treats as well. Then you can venture up to the square for “Trick-or-Treat Around the Square” where there are opportunities to get even more free candy from area businesses and other organizations from 5 to 6pm.

The Jefferson Public Library will put on their performance of “Who’s Afraid of the Big, Bad Wolf?” in the basement of the library from 5 to 7pm. Kids can also get candy and other treats, along with participating in “come-and-go” crafts in the children’s department. The newest addition to this year’s event is a concert at the Greene County Middle School gym. The public is invited to watch the middle and high school bands perform Halloween-themed songs from 7 to 8pm. Plus, there will be treat bags and photo-opportunities.

All activities are free and open to the public.
