Since the district season began on September 21, the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity football team has squared off against multiple dual-threat starting quarterbacks with great arm strength. The Tigers will face arguably the cream of the crop this Friday in Council Bluffs when ADM visits Class 3A No. 1 Lewis Central. Leading the top-ranked Titans is four-year starting quarterback Max Duggan, a Texas Christian University commit, who’s thrown for 1,566 yards with 21 touchdowns and zero interceptions. He’s also Lewis Central’s top rushing option accounting for 784 yards and 15 touchdowns. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network spoke with ADM’s senior captains after Friday’s 42-21 victory over the Winterset Huskies about the chance to play against the top-ranked Titans. Andrew Flora shared his excitement for the matchup. “Since the schedule came out, (Lewis Central) is one that you circle,” Flora said, “It’s one that you go out and prove yourself. I don’t think any of us are scared of Max (Duggan). He’s a great player obviously, but I think we’re all ready for the challenge.”
ADM’s defense has been at the forefront of their improved 2018 season. The Tigers have allowed an average of 15.1 points per contest, allowing 20 or more points in two games. ADM ranks second in Class 3A District 9 with nine interceptions and 11 fumble recoveries. Conversely, Lewis Central hasn’t scored less than 42 points in any contest this fall. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will provide live play by play coverage of ADM Tiger Football at No. 1 Lewis Central this Friday on True Country K 107.9, raccoonvalleyradio.com, and the KKRF mobile app. Pregame coverage starts at 6 p.m. and kickoff set for 7 p.m. from Council Bluffs.
