The benefits of having an annual Medicare wellness visit will be presented at an upcoming Lunch and Learn event.
The Adair County Health System is hosting this free event for those interested in learning what an annual wellness visit involves and how to get one scheduled. Adair County Health System Marketing Coordinator Tiffany Johnson says these visits are free for those enrolled, “And it’s a visit that they talk about all of your health issues and just a lot of your lifestyle, things that pertain to your health and that way your family practice provider has a good family history and a good idea about things that need to be worked on in your health conditions and also making sure that you’re getting the appropriate screenings when you should. It’s a good visit to have and [in] Adair County we’ve been really trying to push this because it makes us able to provide better health care to you because we know you as a patient.”
Health Coach Denise Grandgenett and Assistant Health Coach Linda Kerns will be facilitating the discussion and a free lunch will be served. The Lunch and Learn will be on Thursday, October 25th at noon in the Adair County Memorial Hospital Board Room in Greenfield. RSVP by October 19th to Kerns at 641-743-6189 ext. 379 or lkerns@adaircountyhealthsystem.org.
