Halloween fun for the whole family will be in downtown Guthrie Center this evening for the second annual Fall-O-Ween Festival.

This free event, hosted by Main Street Guthrie Center and the Guthrie Center Chamber of Commerce, features Halloween-themed carnival games, pumpkin decorating, sack races, a pumpkin walk, and a costume contest for children, adults, and well-behaved pets. There are categories for different ages as well as best princess, clown, and superhero, and winners will receive Chamber bucks. There will also be “caramel apple nachos” and hot dogs for sale. The Fall-O-Ween Festival takes place from 4-6 p.m. today on Fourth Street in downtown Guthrie Center. In case of inclement weather, the event will take place in the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall.
