Don’t forget, Sunday afternoon is the first concert of the new season for the Perry Fine Arts Committee, and the public is invited to a free show featuring a popular local group.
The Al Welsh Orchestra is a frequent guest in Perry, and they will be performing a concert starting at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Perry High School Performing Arts Center. Fine Arts Committee member Cathy Clark says the band will perform an assortment of music spanning several decades, and featuring pieces by many different composers. As is the case with every Fine Arts concert, there is no cost to attend, but free-will donations are accepted. Any proceeds will go towards future shows. Clark emphasizes that the group wants the concerts to be something anyone can attend. “Our mission is to provide good music at a reasonable cost. And I kind of think free is extremely reasonable!”
Clark adds, anyone who would like to be a part of the Perry Fine Arts Committee can reach out to her or any of the current members.
