After several months of waiting, motorists can finally travel on Highway 169 between Highway 141 and Ogden.

The Iowa Department of Transportation began the concrete overlay project in July, hoping they could get the 15-mile stretch completed by the end of August. However, Mother Nature had other plans, and the project faced frequent weather-related delays. The project wound up taking around three months to complete, and the DOT is happy to once again open the road and make travel a little easier. The total cost of the overlay was around $9 million.
