One of the most popular fall events is happening this weekend in Greene County.
Deal’s Orchard’s Fall Festival is tomorrow and Sunday from 8am to 6pm. Apple Acres includes lots of family entertainment like a jumping pillow, giant slides, a corn maze, human hamster wheels, duck races, pedal tractors, a corn pool, and much more. There is a fee to enter Apple Acres, which does include the corn maze and is accessible by an underground pedestrian tunnel. Other paid activities include sand and spin art, face painting, an FFA petting zoo, the Boy Scouts haunted cave, and other fun activities. Everyone can also enjoy free activities like hayrides and musical entertainment all weekend long.
Greene County Chamber and Tourism Interim Director Michael Reese encourages everyone to not only enjoy all of the activities at Deal’s Orchard, but make it a full weekend stay in Greene County by checking-out the other amenities.
“When we do have visitors, please encourage them to come up to Jefferson or our outside communities, you know Scranton is not to far away from Deal’s. Look around and encourage them to shop and spend some money locally here.”
