A broken tile line forces a closure on Highway 30 near western Greene County.

According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, emergency crews are repairing a broken tile line under the shoulder of Highway 30, just north of Ralston. The roadway on the diagonal portion of the highway is estimated to be closed for seven to ten days while crews make the necessary repairs. Motorists are urged to take the official detour route around the closure at the Carroll/Greene County Road N-85 and Greene County Road E-39.

DOT officials remind motorists to drive with caution, obey all posted speed limit and other work area signs. A map of the affected can be seen in this story.
