For the third year, the Perry Public Library is offering a program that helps families find new Halloween costumes while recycling their old ones.
The annual costume swap has now begun, and Children’s Librarian Suzanne Kestel describes how the system works. “What people do is, they bring clean costumes that their children have outgrown. They bring them into the library, I give them a coupon, and then the week before Halloween they bring their coupon in and they get to pick a new one that would fit their child. So they’re welcome to get those washed up and ready to bring in!”
Kestel adds, you will receive a coupon in exchange for each costume you bring in, and there is no other cost to participate. Coupons can be redeemed for costumes between October 22nd and 29th, and everything is first-come, first-served. Beggars Night in Perry is Tuesday, October 30th.
