An apparent vehicle crash slowed up traffic on Interstate-80 Friday afternoon.

Law enforcement and rescue crews responded to the incident around 4pm. Initial reports indicate that both westbound lanes were closed for a short while between exit 100 (near Dexter) and 104 (near Earlham). According to the Iowa Department of Transportation both lanes are now open.

Iowa State Patrol is in charge of the ongoing investigation and Dallas County Sheriff’s office is assisting. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
