Greene County school officials announced a change in plans for the Rams’ homecoming football game with the Atlantic Trojans. Coach Mitch Moore’s 5-1 Rams host 2-4 Atlantic at 5 p.m. today at Linduska Field in Jefferson. A schedule ninth grade game has been cancelled. The threat of possible severe weather prompted the 5 p.m. start. Coverage on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com begins at 4:30 p.m.

Coach Moore talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about it being homecoming. “It’s a fun deal for our kids, both at school all day long and at night, just being around each other and taking pride in the community. This is where they grow up, and this is where they grow up and this is who they are, so it’s fun to enjoy this week.”

The Rams are coming off a loss after five straight wins to open the season. The coach commented about the week of practice leading up to today’s game. “The football players worked really hard in practice and I was proud of their efforts, and I’m just excited to get the game going tonight!”
