Through the first six games of the regular season, a senior member of the West Central Valley Wildcats varsity football team is among the state’s top tacklers. Cole Sacket currently leads Class 1A District 8 with 66.5 total tackles and 46 solo tackles. Last Friday against the top-ranked Van Meter Bulldogs, Sackett recorded a team-high nine total tackles and seven solo stops. As a junior last fall, Sackett recorded a state-best 128.5 total tackles in nine regular season games.
