Monday, October 1st

1:46pm: A Traffic Stop in the 100 Block of North Madison Street resulted in Stephan Lange of Perry being cited for, “Dark Windows.”

4:12pm: While on patrol, an officer witnessed a male juvenile smoking in a vehicle. The officer followed the juvenile to the Rec Center, where he parked the vehicle. The officer made contact with the juvenile, who admitted to smoking a cigarette. During a Consent Search the officer located a smoking device on the juvenile, believed to be used for narcotics. The officer seized the item for lab testing. Future Juvenile Charges are pending lab results.

4:14pm: Karen Bowen requested an officer at 806 West Washington Street for an unruly juvenile grandson. The officer arrived and mediated the disagreement between grandmother and grandson.

5:14pm: A caller advised of two young children, who appeared to be locked out of a house in the 400 Block of North Vine Street. The officer was not able to locate anyone in the area.

7:58pm: Kelli Luther reported Unwanted Contact from an ex-boyfriend, who lives in Arizona. The officer is investigating the report.

8:52pm: Christa Simons reported a large group of juveniles running through yards in the 300 Block of Grauer Street. The officer was already speaking to the group about throwing toilet paper at the High School.

9:21pm: Thomas Hammel reported numerous cars speeding and passing unsafely on West Wood Drive. The officer checked the area and did not locate the reported actions.

10:30pm:Jeanette Carhill reported juveniles throwing toilet paper in the 300 Block of Edgewood. The officer did not locate anyone in the area.

10:44pm: An officer spoke to a group of juveniles in the 300 Block of West Harrison Street about curfew hours. The students under 18 headed home for the evening.

Tuesday, October 2nd

1:49am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of West Washington Street.

8:02am: Susan Mills reported her vehicle had been egged overnight while parked at 508 West State Street. The officer developed two juvenile suspects and charges for Criminal Mischief are pending the completion of the investigation.

8:22am: Judy Divitt turned in a bag of coins she had located at the laundromat in Jefferson. They can be claimed at the LEC if they can be described.

3:38pm: Howard Gustin spoke to an officer about how to obtain a No Contact Oder. He was advised to speak with an attorney.

4:39pm: The McFarland Clinic requested a Welfare Check on a female in Jefferson. The officer made contact with the female and learned she was fine.

5:20pm: Duane Forkner spoke with an officer about a possible Identity Theft against him. The officer is investigating.

7:50pm: Officers were advised of a large group of students in the parking lot at the High School. The officer learned it was a school activity occurring at the school.

11:17pm: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 200 Block of South Walnut Street.

11:34pm: A caller advised of two subjects attempting to break into an apartment at 103 West Monroe Street. The officer made contact with the subjects and learned they were locked out of their own apartment and were trying to make entry.
