According to the National Weather Service, Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties are all under a marginal risk for severe weather. The primary threats with the risk include: damaging winds, heavy rainfall, lightning and possibly isolated tornadoes. The peak times for severe weather in our area is predicted to be late tonight, mainly after 7pm. The National Weather Service also anticipates all three of our counties to endure high wind gusts today, ranging between 30 to 40-miles-per-hour. High daytime temperatures will also be in the forecast, with our area seeing as high as a 90-degree heat index.
