Greene County ran at the South Central Calhoun Cross-Country Invitational on Tuesday at the golf course in Lake City. Coach Jeff Lamoureux’s girls’ team placed fifth among nine squads and the boys were eleventh among 13 teams.

The boys from Greene County were led by freshman Ethan Woodruff. He was 23rd in 19:58.59 for the five kilometers (3.1 miles). Luis Velazco was 44th in 20:48.51, followed by Connor Brus, 47th in 20:51.02, Jack Bryson, 51st in 21:02.79, and Trevor Lebeck, 66th in 21:55.71.

Junior Ashlee Harmeyer was 20th in the girls’ race to lead the Rams. He covered the 5K in 23:58.23. Conner Allender was 23th in 24:19.84, with Makala Kafer in 25th at 24:41.44, Kassie Lamoureux, 28th in 24:49.69, and Izzy Bravard, 47th in 26:28.57.

Ridge View (Holstein) won the girls’ title with 62 points. The Rams had 115. Ogden was the boys’ winner with 74 points. The Rams had 231 points.
